1)If (x/3 + 1, y - 2/3) = (5/3, 1/3), find the values of x and y.
Ans- x/3 + 1 = 5/3
x+3/3 = 5/3
On comparing
x+3=5
x=2
y - 2/3 = 1/3
y-2/3 = 1/3
y-2=1
y=2
Therefore, x=2 and y=1
